In a recent project I decided to work in an old Japanese Manga style, to build up a collection of ink drawings with coloured washes to create a narrative story board. Through this then became fascinated in how landscape and weather were expressed in Japanese art. These are images of exploratory work from my sketchbook as I have not yet completed this brief. I gathered inspiration from Katsushika Hokusai.
